Redlands Country Lodge is a log cabin bed & breakfast, 5 miles from Cupar, Fife. We're different from many B&B's in that all of our rooms are completely separate from the main house so you can come and go as you please whilst exploring Fife. Our guest house can accommodate single occupancy right up to groups of 12 people (when you combine our log cabin rooms and our self catering apartment 'WeeBothy').

We're not slap bang in the middle of a village - that's what makes us so special. Our countryside setting is only 1 mile from the village of Ladybank, and 1.5 miles from Pitlessie, where the Village Inn serves great food - a lovely walk on a summers evening. We're also a short drive away from many historic towns and villages such as St. Andrews (16miles) and Falkland (5 miles). A drive along the Fife coastal route is a firm favourite with our visitors.

Log Cabin Bedrooms
Our B&B log cabin bedrooms near Cupar are terraced - like a mini log cabin motel - we have 4 rooms in total. Each bedroom has it's own entrance from the outside of the building. Each have cosy double or twin beds, TV/DVD, 2 comfy chairs, en-suite power shower room, hospitality tray and toiletries. Guests also have use of the gorgeous guest lounge - situated beside the bedrooms - a great place to relax in after a day out exploring Fife. Book a single room, or have exclusive use of 4 rooms and lounge for group bookings.* (there are no cooking facilities within this building)

WeeBothy Apartment
Our mini-self catering apartment 'WeeBothy' is a little converted sandstone building, right next to the log cabin building. Sleeps up to 4 and is ideal for family breaks or a romantic break for 2 - indeed we've had several honeymoon couples stay. It has a cosy bedroom (with twin or kingsize bed), wee designer bathroom with toiletries, relaxing lounge with double sofa bed and kitchen area (with microwave, fridge, toaster, kettle. NO OVEN OR HOB) Patio doors open from the lounge to a decked area overlooking the fields beyond. It's mini self-catering at its cutest. A continental breakfast hamper is supplied unless other wise stated.

Hot Tub
Take a dip in our bubblicious, 7 seater Jacuzzi Hot Tub**. It's just the same as those you'll find in a posh spa but it's outside, set overlooking the farmland at the rear of the property, tucked away and is perfect for chilling out in. We've had 2 marriage proposals in our lovely tub... and they said yes!

Children are welcome at Redlands Country Lodge Guest House and there's plenty of animals to pat and feed - dogs, cats, guinea pigs, hens, Stanley the cockerel and a horse called Katie. Some of our rooms are dog-friendly so even Fido can stay too ONLY if you book him in advance by telephone only. (please read our terms and conditions.)

The relaxed atmosphere at Redlands Country Lodge Guest House means you can enjoy a great night's sleep and B&B guests can tuck in to a hearty Scottish breakfast served in the conservatory garden room. Our own free-range hens usually provide daily fresh eggs - they're great poached! We offer cooked or continental style breakfast, with yoghurts, seasonal fruits, & use local produce wherever possible. If you're in need of a lie-in, we'll provide a continental breakfast tray for you in your room the night before.
Redlands Country Lodge Guest House is ideal for a romantic short break in Fife; a stop over on business; for groups of friends, golfers, hen weekends, special birthdays; to visit St Andrews University; a base for guests attending weddings at Fernie Castle, Craigsanquhar Castle, and Kilconquhar Castle and Balbirnie House. Visit The Old Course, St. Andrews 'The Home of Golf' or tee off on one of the many Fife golf courses nearby, from Ladybank Championship course (a final qualifying course for the 2010 British Open) to Lundin Links. Redlands is an ideal base for groups of golfers.

If that's not enough, we're only 35mins from the Forth bridges by car. Ladybank Railway station is 1 mile away with regular main line trains to Edinburgh, Leuchars and Dundee.

** Unless part of a special offer/voucher, there is a one off charge of £5.00pp per stay to use the Hot Tub. The tub is communal (as it would be in a hotel) and available to all guests between the hours of 12pm and 10.30pm only. There are certain times when tub is out of use for cleaning, reheating. We try and keep this to a minimum but cannot guarantee it's availability. Call us to check before booking if using the hot tub is the main reason for your stay. The Tub can be used in most weather conditions provided it's not lashing with rain... it's just not nice then!
